Commercial Site Manager

About the Role

Our valued client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of commercial construction projects across North Queensland. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who can take full ownership of site operations, managing subcontractors and trades, maintaining project programs, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

In this role, you will coordinate site activities from commencement through to completion, ensuring all works align with program requirements, contract obligations, and quality and safety standards.

Previous experience delivering commercial construction projects is essential, particularly across fast food developments, commercial office builds, tilt panel construction, and underground services.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, trades, and site resources.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with program, budget, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Lead site safety processes including inductions, toolbox talks, SWMS reviews, and WHS compliance.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality, safety, and environmental standards across all works.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing clear progress updates and attending site meetings.
• Oversee site logistics, including labour, plant, traffic management, and site security requirements.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, site management, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and construction compliance requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
