Junior Solicitor - Commercial & Litigation

Cohen Legal is a boutique Townsville law firm with offices in Townsville and Mt Isa. We practise across commercial law and litigation — handling everything from complex commercial disputes and building and construction matters to insolvency, debt recovery, estate litigation, and BIFA applications.

We're looking for a graduate or junior solicitor to join our Townsville team on a full-time basis. Whether you've just completed your degree or you're a year or two into your career, if you're driven, detail-oriented, and serious about developing your legal skills in a genuinely supportive environment — we'd love to hear from you.

You'll work across a diverse range of commercial and litigation matters, including:

• Commercial and contractual disputes
• Building and construction law
• Debt recovery
• Insolvency matters
• Estate litigation
• BIFA applications

No two days look the same. You'll be exposed to real work from the outset and supported every step of the way by experienced practitioners who are invested in your growth.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a self-motivated work ethic
• Good time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit team
• A genuine interest in litigation and dispute resolution would be well regarded
• Any advocacy or dispute resolution experience, including at university level, would be well regarded
