Legal Assistant - Insurance Legal Assistant 
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a well-established national law firm in Brisbane's CBD.

Working within a high-performing Insurance Litigation team, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to a group of senior lawyers across a range of complex and interesting matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, formatting and amending legal correspondence and documents
• Preparing briefs and court documents
• Liaising with courts, clients and external stakeholders as required
• Opening new matters and conducting conflict checks
• Maintaining electronic files and document management systems
• Managing monthly billing processes, including WIP and pre-bills
• Assisting with debtor management and liaising with finance teams
• Preparing reports and supporting month-end processes
• Providing high-level administrative support to lawyers across the team
• Assisting with overflow work and ad hoc administrative tasks

About You

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary within a law firm
• Previous exposure to Insurance Litigation, Personal Injury, Health Law or related practice areas will be highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Exceptional communication and client service skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively
• Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with legal practice management and document management systems will be advantageous
• Professional, proactive and team-oriented approach
