About iOrthotics
Founded in 2009 in Mackay, Queensland, iOrthotics has grown into Australia's premier provider of custom-made orthotic devices for podiatrists. Our vision is simple: a world where every patient has access to orthotic care that is clinically precise, responsibly made, and delivered when it matters most.
We lead through research-driven innovation, from near-zero-waste 3D printing to cutting-edge digital workflows and we hold ourselves to industry-leading standards in everything that carries the iOrthotics name. When our team grows, iOrthotics grows.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our production team on a full-time basis. This is an entry-level opportunity to work at the forefront of medical manufacturing technology contributing to orthotic devices that genuinely change patients' lives. You'll be supported, developed, and given every opportunity to grow with us.
Your key responsibilities:
Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment to produce custom orthotic devices
Assemble fully finished devices including gluing, grinding, and polishing
Collaborate with the production team to optimise manufacturing processes and efficiency
Operate machinery in an EVA mill room
Maintain a clean, organised work environment in line with safety and quality standards
Contribute to daily and monthly production targets
Safely lift and move materials up to 25kg
What We're Looking For
This role is perfect if you're starting your career in manufacturing or healthcare. We don't expect you to arrive with all the answers - we expect you to take ownership, collaborate openly, and care about doing things well. The iOrthotics Way means you jump in to help when the team needs it, you act on problems rather than walk past them, and you bring your best to every task - whether it's a clinical solution or a conversation.
You'll also bring:
A technical aptitude and genuine interest in 3D printing technology and manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions
A proactive, problem-solving mindset - you see a roadblock as something to push through, not stop at
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
Basic knowledge of CAD software or 3D printing processes is advantageous but not required
Previous manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential, full training will be provided
Why iOrthotics?
We're not just building orthotics we're building a team of people who are invested in what we do and where we're going. Here's what that looks like for you:
Ownership & Growth: We're intentional about career progression and we work with you to understand your ambitions and create a path to get there. We'd rather grow with our people than without them.
Collaboration: You'll work alongside a skilled, supportive team that shares knowledge openly and communicates with intention. You'll always know your role in the bigger picture.
Excellence: We hold industry-leading standards and take pride in everything we produce. Near enough is never good enough and that standard inspires the work we do every day.
Innovation: Work with cutting-edge technology including near-zero-waste 3D printing and digital workflows. If we can imagine it, we find a way to build it.
Sustainability: We're genuinely committed to reducing our environmental footprint through responsible materials, digital-first workflows, and a team that's proud to lead on this.
Belonging: Every person at iOrthotics should feel seen, valued, and connected to something bigger than their role. Feedback flows both ways, and we don't wait for problems to surface.
