Overview of Position

The Manufacturing Operator role is primarily responsible for: supporting the manufacture of sub-assembly, intermediate and final product.

This is a hands-on role to ensure the manufacturing schedule is met.

The focus on this role is entry level, foundational skills and competency in manufacturing processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of in-process and finished goods.
  • Operation of equipment required for manufacturing.
  • Execution of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Manufacture of product in a controlled cleanroom environment (ISO 5, 6, 7, 8).
  • Manufacture of product in a graded cleanroom environment (Grade A, B, C, D).
  • Handling of environmental monitoring and quality control samples for in-process and finished product testing.
  • Preparation of equipment and excipient solutions.
  • Cleaning of graded cleanroom facilities and laboratory.
  • Completion of batch documentation to Good Documentation Practice (GDP) standards.
  • Contribute to the writing and review of documentation in line with the Quality Management System, GMP and PIC/s requirements.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, safety and GMP quality standards.
  • Assist with validation and qualification activities for facility, equipment, process, and operators.
  • Assist with stock / inventory management.
  • Work with Vaxxas R&D teams, Assist with process development and transfer of new and existing products as required to enable continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical background via previous work experience and/or tertiary education in engineering, biological or physical sciences or pharmacy would be a highly regarded advantage.

Desired experience and skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/ or laboratory processes including bioanalytical testing.
  • Ability to follow procedures with high attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring quality of process and product (as defined in operation and material specifications).
  • Completion of documentation in line with QMS and GMP requirements.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom facility.
  • Escalation and reporting of issues during production.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience being part of a manufacturing team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, task orientated with a solution focused approach.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination.
