Capital Transport is Australia’s largest and fastest-growing courier and taxi truck business, delivering tailored B2B transport and logistics solutions. We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-driven Site Operations Officer to oversee daily operations at one of our key client sites. Reporting to the Contracts Site Operations Supervisor this role is ideal for someone with exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the operations of the site, ensuring a safe, well‑organised and efficient workplace

  • Coordinating deliveries to ensure goods are received and dispatched in full and on time

  • Overseeing the handling of stock from receipting through to despatch, ensuring accuracy and care at all times

  • Acting as the key point of contact on site, supporting drivers and sub‑contractors to maintain smooth operations

  • Conducting daily warehouse inspections to identify and address safety risks proactively

  • Leading regular toolbox talks to reinforce safety, provide updates and support ongoing training

  • Planning and allocating delivery runs, selecting appropriate vehicles and efficient routes for each job

  • Managing on‑site fleet requirements, including vehicle checks, audits and maintaining accurate records

  • Maintaining accurate systems and documentation, including job notes, photos and proof of delivery

  • Reporting lost or damaged goods and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence

  • Responding to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to share information and resolve operational issues

  • Supporting operational requirements as needed, including administrative tasks, meetings and on‑call support during peak periods

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • High attention to detail and a proactive mindset

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in transport, logistics, or site operations is highly regarded

  • Valid driver’s licence and full working rights
