About the role

Palko Pty Ltd is looking for an energetic, motivated and customer-focused Account & Business Development Representative to join our team on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines account management, customer service and business development. Around two-thirds of your focus will be on strengthening relationships with existing customers, growing account value and providing great service, while the remaining one-third will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities across Australia.

You’ll play an important role in supporting our customers, preparing and following up quotations, responding to enquiries and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

You will be responsible for:

· Managing and growing existing customer accounts

· Maintaining regular contact with customers via phone and email

· Identifying sales opportunities within existing accounts

· Following up dormant or inactive customers to re-engage business

· Developing new customer opportunities across Australia

· Responding to customer enquiries and providing product advice

· Preparing quotations and following up to support conversion

· Building strong, long-term relationships with retailers and trade customers

· Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity

· Working closely with management to achieve business growth objectives

· Delivering exceptional customer service in every interaction

What you will bring:

· Previous experience in sales, account management or customer service

· Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers

· A confident and professional phone manner

· A positive attitude and strong customer-focus

· Good organisational and time management skills

· Confidence in following up opportunities and nurturing customer relationships

· The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team

Highly regarded, but not essential:

· Experience in wholesale distribution, furniture, sporting goods, recreation products or a similar industry
