Support the wellbeing of older people by delivering engaging recreational activities and social programs. Help reduce isolation and promote meaningful participation in a supportive care environment.

About the role

Permanent part-time opportunity to deliver recreational programs that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of older people across residential care settings. You will plan and facilitate individual and group activities, work within a multidisciplinary team, and build connections with community groups to support social engagement, while ensuring programs meet quality and safety standards.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Involved in assessing, planning and implementing individual and group lifestyle programs as a part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Complete/maintain social profile and lifestyle assessments for consumers.
  • Work closely with the MDT and Senior Recreation Officer in developing house-based programs and conduct both facility-based and facility-wide recreational programs and special events
  • Liaise with community groups and organise activities which will maintain consumer contact and involvement with the local community.
