HR Skip bin Truck driver

Tropical skips is a locally owned skip bin delivery business based in Cairns. Our business has experienced rapid growth in recent years which. We attribute this to our progressive team and an exceptional standard of customer service.

We are looking for a full time HR Licenced skip bin truck driver, who would be an integral role in our business. Safety is paramount in our business, so someone who takes care and manages the risks is essential. Followed by that is customer service, we are looking for someone who will go the extra mile to ensure we have an unmatched customer experience. Our business is built on team players, we are looking for individuals that desire to help out their team mates to make everyone's job easier. This role is a casual appointment with the potential to transition to full time , and overtime often an option.

Minimum 1-2 years of HR truck driving experience is required for this position.

We seeking an individual who is a team player, has a can do attitude, who solves problems quickly and has the customer in mind at all times. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of responsibility, who takes ownership of the role and is open to feedback to improve and adjust when neccessary

The role involves the following

• Safe and efficient delivery and collection of skip bins

• A friendly, obliging and helpful demeanor to enhance our customers experience

• Taking payments via cash and eftpos

• Use of phone based applications to record information

• Prestart vehicle checks and minor maintenance such as greasing the truck.

• Advising of any mechanical concerns in the truck so the appropriate repairs can be undertaken

The role is based out of Holloways Beach, and it is expected the hours to be 7.00am- 4pm Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week at the minimum. Overtime is available with flexibility of finish times by our drivers being highly desired.
