Part-Time Permanent Position | $28.86 per hour

35 hours per week averaged over a 6 week rotating roster of 3 on/3off

Regular Overtime & Shift Penalty Rates

 

Rechenberg Security & Locksmith is seeking a reliable and motivated Monitoring Centre Operator to join their team in Bundaberg. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is confident on the phone, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. You’ll play an important role in supporting security operations by monitoring alarms, coordinating responses, and assisting customers.

About the Role

Working in our monitoring centre, you’ll be responsible for responding to alarms, communicating with clients, and coordinating security patrols or emergency services when required. This is a shift-based role on a 3 days on/3 days off rotating roster, including weekends and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Responding to alarms using our monitoring software

• Handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls

• Dispatching security patrols and emergency services

• Providing clear, calm communication during incidents

• Entering and updating data accurately

• Delivering high levels of customer service

• Assisting customers with basic technical support

About You

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, calm under pressure, and able to work well within a close team.

You will ideally have:

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems

• The ability to multitask and stay focused in a busy environment

• A professional and reliable work ethic

• Willingness to work shift rotations, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a QLD Security Monitoring Licence (no disqualifying criminal history)

• Current drivers licence is preferred but not essential

• Comfortable working shift work and rotating rosters
