Experienced Civil Stormwater RCP - Logan

About the role

Sunstate Civil Construction is seeking an Experienced Civil Stormwater RCP Installer to join our team in Logan Reserve, QLD 4133. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the delivery of stormwater and civil infrastructure projects. As an experienced reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of stormwater systems that are essential to managing water flow and drainage across residential, commercial, and industrial developments. This role is integral to ensuring our projects meet quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

1. Installing and laying reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) for stormwater drainage systems in accordance with engineering plans and specifications

2. Preparing and excavating trenches to appropriate depths and gradients for optimal stormwater flow

3. Ensuring proper alignment, jointing, and bedding of pipes to meet design requirements and industry standards

4. Performing quality inspections and testing of installed stormwater systems to verify functionality and compliance

5. Operating relevant plant and machinery, including excavators, compactors, and other civil construction equipment

6. Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used, and site progress documentation

7. Collaborating with other tradespeople, supervisors, and site management to ensure efficient project delivery

8. Adhering to all workplace health and safety protocols and contributing to a safe work environment

9. Identifying and reporting potential hazards, defects, or issues requiring attention or remedial work

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working with reinforced concrete pipes (RCP) and stormwater drainage systems in civil construction projects

2. Demonstrated competency in pipe laying, jointing, and installation techniques specific to stormwater infrastructure

3. Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and civil construction practices

4. Experience operating civil construction plant and equipment safely and effectively

5. Strong understanding of site safety requirements, including working at heights and confined space entry protocols where applicable

6. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and site drawings accurately

7. Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour consistently in varying weather conditions

8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

9. A current driver's licence and reliability in attending work consistently

10. Relevant qualifications or certifications (such as White Card or similar safety certifications) are highly valued
