Road-rail vehicles
Underfloor wheel lathes
Rail lifting systems

Depot maintenance equipment
Mobile and fixed workshop systems
We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Product Support Technician to join our rail service team.
This is a hands-on field service and technical support role supporting rail maintenance and workshop equipment across customer depots, rolling stock workshops, and operational rail environments.
You will be involved in:
Fault finding and technical diagnostics
Preventative maintenance and servicing
Equipment commissioning and testing
Repairs, upgrades, and modifications
Customer technical support
OEM warranty and technical support activities
The role offers a mix of workshop, depot, and field-based work across Australia and New Zealand.
You will support a range of specialised rail equipment and systems, including:
Electrical and hydraulic systems
Pneumatic systems
PLC and HMI systems
AC traction drives
80VDC powered mobile equipment
Rail workshop and depot equipment
You’ll also work closely with OEM partners and customers to support equipment performance, reliability, and operational uptime.
We are looking for someone who is:
Trade qualified (Mechanical or Electrical)
Strong in diagnostics and fault finding
Comfortable working independently in field environments
Customer-focused and proactive
Safety-conscious and solutions-oriented
Able to manage changing priorities and service demands
Experience within rail is highly regarded, however applicants from heavy mobile equipment, industrial machinery, mining, manufacturing, machine tools, or similar industries are encouraged to apply.
Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification
Experience servicing industrial or heavy equipment
Strong electrical and/or hydraulic fault-finding capability
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Current Driver’s Licence
Experience working with or having:
Rail maintenance equipment
Road-rail vehicles
Wheel lathes
Hydraulic systems and load sensing pumps
Compressor systems
PLC systems and CAN bus controls
High-voltage equipment
Train braking systems
Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW) or willingness to obtain
Willingness to travel as required
