Project Irrigation is seeking an experienced and motivated Irrigation Maintenance Technician to join our team servicing sports fields, parks, and recreational facilities throughout the Moreton Bay Regional Council area.
This role is ideal for an irrigation professional who enjoys troubleshooting, auditing, preventative maintenance, and system optimisation rather than large-scale installation projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring community sporting facilities remain safe, healthy, and operating efficiently year-round.
Working independently and as part of a supportive team, you will be responsible for inspecting, auditing, maintaining, and repairing automated irrigation systems across a range of sporting and recreational facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting irrigation audits and performance assessments
Diagnosing and repairing irrigation system faults
Routine preventative maintenance of controllers, valves, pumps, and sprinklers
Monitoring system performance and water efficiency
Preparing maintenance reports and recommendations
Liaising with clients and stakeholders when required
Responding to maintenance issues and breakdowns as required
The majority of your time will be spent undertaking inspections, audits, and maintenance activities rather than project installation work.
Competitive salary package of $75,000 – $90,000 per annum (depending on experience)

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 5 years' demonstrated experience in commercial, sports turf, municipal, or large-scale irrigation maintenance
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Sound understanding of automated irrigation systems and controllers
Ability to work autonomously and manage your workload effectively
Good communication and reporting skills
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
Experience working on sports fields, parks, golf courses, schools, councils, or municipal irrigation systems will be highly regarded.
