About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide focused, commercial & technological leadership and direction through the effective management of key strategic digitisation initiatives within Motor Claims.

This role will lead the development of appropriate digital solutions to optimise the productivity and cost control capability of the business. Ensure a consistent focus on customer experience, operational efficiency, compliance and staff engagement across the entire end to end business supporting the customer journey.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure the program is delivered in line with appropriate oversight and governance, balanced with the need to retain agility and line management accountability.  

  • Engage and collaborate with the organisation’s leadership team to ensure clear prioritisation and understanding of dependencies, enablers and business and technology capacity for quality execution. 

  • Provide visibility of status, quality, risks and issues, identifying critical issues and influencing senior stakeholders to make informed decisions to enable business performance.  

  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice, coaching and support which balances best practice and practical application for business change, process improvement, knowledge management and program and project management activities. 

  • Work collaboratively to build an ecosystem that through the support of systems and technology enable the business to better control cost, improve customer experience and scale cost effectively. 

  • Identify ways to reimagine the core proposition to customers with a balance to cost that enables the business to sustain a competitive advantage within the insurance sector. 

  • Any other activity commensurate to the position level

 

 Experience we are keen to see

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (Information Technology, Business, Project Management, Change Management) would be preferred. 
  • Deep experience in portfolio, program and project management and change management.  Experience coordinating and/or leading process improvement, business analysis and knowledge management activities would be advantageous. 

  • Insurance industry experience, and in particular experience supporting the development and delivery of insurance products would be preferred. 

  • Strong leadership capability and the ability to lead and develop highly engaged and capable teams to deliver exceptional results. 

  • Extensive stakeholder management (including C-Suite) experience in a fast-paced, delivery focused environment

  • Commercial acumen and the ability to successfully translate business strategy into the prioritisation of initiatives, and support other leaders to deliver upon strategic goals. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the development of board papers and reporting. 

  • Strong analytical ability and presentation skills.
